Dr. Nastia Furtak Returns to BMC

We are thrilled to have Dr. Nastia Furtak back at BMC to work in the Surgery Department alongside Dr. Haun and our talented team of professionals in the theatre. She currently plans to serve as a mid-term volunteer – staying for a year or more.

A native of Ukraine, Dr. Furtak is not new to BMC, she first came in January 2019 and filled in during Dr. Haun’s leave of absence from June 2019-September 2020 (the Hauns’ return was delayed due to the COVID pandemic). Since then, she has returned multiple times on short-term trips and has begun a partnership with institutions in Ukraine to send more medical volunteers to BMC.
